Miss Giselle Teaches Introduction to English

I have a wide variety of teaching experiences abroad and in some schools in metro Atlanta serving the international communities teaching Language Learners from different cultural and Language Proficiency levels background from elementary school to high school. Along this journey, I have experience teaching various delivery models of instruction such as pull out- model, push-in, cluster center, resource center/laboratory, sheltered class. My journey as an ELL teacher guides me to understand the ESOL program standards-based curriculum emphasizing academic and social language development. I have learned to assist the ELLs in demonstrating their educational, social, a cultural proficiency in English, ensuring the needs of El's are accommodated, facilitating instructions, and providing parents with school-related information. I have been involved in assisting teachers in a myriad of ways. I have presented ESOL strategies in faculty meetings, TESOL conferences and help my colleagues in reaching the ESOL community and understand their cultural diversity.
